Two Questions! (Warning: could be interpreted as \'boaty\')

Question 1:

Is it farther to New York, than it is by plane?

Question 2:

Is it hotter in the south, than it is in summer?

In your replies feel free to include such things as murder, popped singers and decency - but definitely nothing about anchors, heaving-to, or NUC lights! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Two Questions! (Warning: could be interpreted as \'boaty\')

It is shorter to New York than it is by plane as the plane flies above the ground hence the etra distance due to greater radius of its arc. Also the plane might have to go backwards first, to get to the end of the runway and that maks it longer.

I'm reliably informed that it is both a long way to Tipperary and that it is 24 hours from Tulsa.

Unfortunately I don't know where it is.

If you're looking for employment there always seems to be a lot of jobs in Jeopardy

Nah, once your up in the air, New York start coming towards you any way. If you can hover for long enough it just turns up. So there.

r but, we all know planes need runways, which are not normally placed in ports ........ and ports are on the coast - where boats are found /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Two Questions! (Warning: could be interpreted as \'boaty\')

Two definitive answers:

1. Is it farther to New York than it is by plane? Depends where you start from.

2. Is is hotter in the south than it is in summer? Depends which hemisphere you are in.

Re: Two Questions! (Warning: could be interpreted as \'boaty\')

By boat it's much further if you are in a bilge keeler.

It can't be hotter in the south because they're Big Southern Jessies and don't know the meaning of weather.

I have scoured my books for an answer. They must be good because they are an inch foot and a thick wide but didn't help.
