Had a couple of days over Thursday and Friday staying the night at anchor in Newtown Creek. Looking back over the photos I realised what a great couple of days we had so thought I would put up some of the photos to share.
We started by watching the classics racing at Cowes:
Then headed up to Newtown where it was, as usual, simply idyllic having supper in the cockpit watching the sun go down:
Then a beautiful misty morning to awake to:
We spend a lot of time in Newtown and it does tend to be mainly sailing boats who frequent it however there were a few interesting mobos that arrived on Friday this time including an Oyster LD43, Swordsman 40 and a Sabre which I didn’t manage to snap:
Plus of course my own humble craft:
Watching the world go by we have often seen this chap single handedly exploring the creek in this:
And some other classic sailing dinghies:
We were also visited by the Newtown seal who popped up right alongside us but was too quick for me to grab my camera but I did catch him sunbathing later!
Eventually we had to head home but on the way spotted the Hebridean Princess who had strayed somewhat south!
Oh and also one for Ben!
Two days of heaven and the Solent at its best!
