A couple of good reads whilst spending last week on board:
Australia The Hard Way, David Pyle, Lodestar Books
2 men who didn't know each other sail a Drascombe Lugger from the UK to Australia in 1969/1970. What could possibly go wrong?
The First Fleet, Rob Mundle, Harper Collins
Detailed biography of the UK's initial attempt to colonise Australia. Includes a listing of all the supplies carried, and the names/ages/occupations/convictions ("Stealing a hankerchief"!!!) of all the convicts. I found it very hard to put down.
