Two boats sold....that's the end of boating for us!

Just heard from the guy that bought the Profile 33 that we sold (and had use of) on behalf of a friend, and he had a wonderful trip round to the Stour from Cuxton this morning. Hope he has many more lovely voyages in his new, very economical boat!
Looks like we've just sold Spirit as well, so thats the end of boating for us for the forseeable future.
It's been a good ten years or so and we've thoroughly enjoyed it, been good company on this forum as well, so thanks everyone!:)

Right putting my money where my mouth is,betcha serious munny....say a Quid, that the boat bug will bite again if we get half decent summer.

Seriously tho ..if your not totally off boats, would really enjoy having you on board. for a trip or two......Fred.

Ps. On second thoughts, but not to Ramsgate, seen the sort of Wx you attract like poo to a blanket:)

Lordy Fred, you must be serious to bet that much! :)
Know what you mean about the weather, Nigel (the new owner of Whisky Mac) said there was barely a ripple round North Foreland......
Love to take you up on your offer Fred, thanks.

Shame really, dead easy to see where you had been, just follow the trail of smoke you left earlier .

Ah, on second thoughts Fred, I just don't have the time to spend "eco boating" :) It's always six hours there, and six hours back with you.....lucky the tides don't last any longer!

Alec,

Good to hear you have a purchaser but sorry that you'll be leaving the Mudway.

We sold the saily boat in Chatham last month and will retire from Medway life with a season this year up river on our monster Avon before waving farewell and heading to Welsh Wales and going all mobo again. Already missing Stangate.

Good luck with all your future ventures and your new boat when you are inexorably drawn back...

How come you're packing it in U18??

Financial, the business has suffered over the last few years and it gives me an opportunity to get back on an even......keel :)

I can't see that I'll be back boating again, but you never know, maybe a rib, who knows what's around the corner.
