Good afternoon:
Just for information for those who use Twitter, Facebook or Gmail in Turkey. It appears that, in future, that all your activities on Twitter, Facebook or use of Gmail to send or receive e-mails will be watched by the Turkish government. I suspect that the person who wrote the article means that all internet users will be tracked or monitored and not only Gmail as I am sure the government does not think that all people who are evil and need watching are those who use Gmail – what about those using Yahoo and Hotmail??
I am sure that none of you do anything illegal, fattening or shameful but you should be aware that “big brother” is looking over your shoulder and checking up on your behaviour and probably reading your e-mail and posts on Twitter and Facebook.
The Telecommunications Directorate (TİB) has been instructed to set up a special unit to track social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Gmail, Turkish news outlets reported on Sunday.
