We are looking to upgrade our current boat, antares 750, to a larger model, possibly with twin engines.
My question is, never having had twin engines before, do you start them independently or together?
I understand this may be a stupid question but hey ho

Its always wise to start multiple engines separately, when I work on a boat I start one engine listening out for unusual noises and following the gauges for normal readings. The I stop the engine and start the other with the same procedure, this is so that the running engine doesn't mask any strange noises when I start the other. If all checks out then I restart the first engine, maybe I'm being over careful but when you have done work on a customers engine I don't want to take any chances especially on an engine that may cost more than I earn in a year.

Quite possible that both engines may be on one battery ?.
Some systems you may have to turn a switch to start each engine.
Have in an emergency started both engines on my boat together.
