After a mixed first week afloat weather wise on our new boat, we had a minor disaster..... The DVD player has packed up on the saloon TV! So the one sure "keep the kids quiet" plan has failed miserably! Has anyone ever removed a tv from a Fairline Targa 38 before? There is nowhere obvious where it unclips. Apparently the panel above comes off and access that way but I've unscrewed the retaining alun screws off the acetate panel and it doesn't seem to want to come off, and I'm loathe to force it. Anyone swapped or removed the TV in one of these boats before and if so how? Please

I've just had to update the digibox ( French tv change )
Same issues a flat screen seemingly unmoveable .
They used a regular tv mount like this attached to the cupboard wall

But the lower holes in the "star" where long say 40-50 cm rods threaded 5 size which attached the tv and went back through the back of the tv cabinet -with a washer + wing nut .
There was an access hole to get your hand ( need long arms )up the back to undo the wing nuts thus being able to rotate the tv out -
Refitting you thread the long bars back through the back of the cabinet and tighten the wing nuts, which pulls the tv tight. Rattle free .
If there are no tabs -( flat screen @ wall home ) under to pull down -then this is how it will fixed on a boat cabinet .
So you need to feel /access - the back of the cupboard it's attached to .
