I have a glomax aerial thingy at the moment and am getting fed up with it. I like to be at anchor or mooring buoys and every time we move it looses signal.

Yes there is a manual direction adjustment but there is no way to tell what direction the aerial is pointing.

Is there a TV aerial that locks onto a signal and moves itself to keep in tune?

It's not for me..the Mrs like to watch TV on an evening.

I have an omnidirectional antenna. But moving around our cruise area there are a number of different transmitting stations it may pickup. I always had to retune regardless. Then the Co-ax never seems to last to well, despite being exterior grade and buried within the radar arch etc the connectors are always first to go. These days we just stream tv over 4G broadband, So much easier.

I put mine in for the Rugby. But seriously if you are not a habitual tv watcher and have good 4G then that is the way to go imo. I find a 30GB p/m flexible contract works well. I only activate it during the boating season.

I fitted one of these as I got fed up with picture break up when the boat swung around at anchor. It gave good results hidden in the aft locker. Even better now its mounted on the pushpit.

It has indicators for direction but I find I have never had to change ours. You do need to tune in to nearest transmitter. It does require a 12 volt supply for the amplifier.
