Just flicking through the web (like you do) and came across this;

http://www.ancasta.com/boat_details...=kYKdIO12x7OOZn6os7001UXEwh/n@0NY0n@vl85CsQQ=

The description says:
Saloon TV acts as a repeater to E80 plotter and can be operated via Raymarine remote keypad.

Is this something peculiar to the TV/plotter combination or could this work with a Raymarine C90/Avtex TV as well?
I ask because I already have the Avtex bit of it, and the C90 is fitted to the upper helm of the boat.
If it's a simple thing to do ( it would have to be if it was me doing it!) then I might give it a go.

Any TV or computer monitor with video input will repeat the screen display of any plotter with video output. Watching the repeated screen from my Garmin 4000 series on a 21" HD TV is a real eye opener. Actually you can even do it to an overhead projector for presentations and stuff. That said the C90 classic has no video out, the C90W does I think.

I have plotters repeated to TV in saloon and master bedroom on current and last few boats. Easy to do

If you want to control (as opposed to merely watch) the plotter from the TV you need a remote for the plotter. Any plotter that comes with a remote will therefore allow this, eg Raymarine E and G, and ohers. I had this on last boat with an E remote but never used it so on the current boat I just have the TVs as viewers of the plotter, without any ability to control the plotter from the tV

I have the C90W! (Sorry I should have mentioned this small detail!) and I've just contacted Raymarine to establish if it has video out capabilities and apparently it doesn't - bu%&er!
I thought it looked to good to be true.

BTW if anyone wants to upgrade widescreen Raymarine E series to video out you need to buy a special lead from Raym. At a chunky price. I have 2 of these leads, or maybe 3, brand new unused, sold boat before fitting them, 2ys old and will sell for 30% of new price inc postage (I have no idea of price, but must be internet-findable)

Don't suppose you have the E series to go with them do you?
First dibs if you do:)
