E visa for Turkey is already in place it is the stamp on arrival which is being withdrawn . This statement in the above link is incorrect "Travelers who fail to buy an e-visa will not be allowed to board flights to Turkey after 10 April." as Turkey has said that for a period of time interactive kiosks to obtain visas will be placed in arrivals airports for those who do not get visas in advance - however they will be more expensive.
Its been £10.00 for many many years , cannot really grumble about a small rise .What could be worrying is there is no mention about interactive kiosk facilities being installed for arrivals by sea and who have not in advance got an E visa.
