Anybody got advice about present situation regarding checking out / checking in to / from Turkey and Greece. We are about to take a charter from Bodrum but this year would like to transit to some of the Greek Dodecanese Isles ( much along the lines of the feature in YM last year.) No mention in the article of fees required but have been informed by my charter company that there is now a 165 euro fee required by Turkish Authorities ( for which they are an agent and can arrange) and then Greek log required at 35 euro.
If anyone has the low down on fees, time taken by formalities, best way round etc. I'd be grateful...wouldn't fancy losing 4 half days out of fortnight towing boat papers round harbour authorities offices. I once spent 2 hours with harbour police, in blistering heat, on a visit to Plaka (Pelopponese )to be relieved of about a euro (old rates)....then when he couldn't find change he let me off and drove me back to the boat!!
