We are coming down the Danube next season from UK, and SWMBO has decreed that after the whole season we must not keep going but return to enjoy Turkey in UK, not in Turkey the country. Is there a recommended place to overwinter the boat either in or around a transport hub for return Home? Do I have to get the blue book first too? We hope to spend 2015 in/around the Eastern Med.

Good morning:

Your post is the second on this subject that I have read this morning but I decided not to reply to the first as it had the same problem as your post - no details or facts on which to base any recommendations.

I can't imagine a post with less detail than yours. If you want a response or recommendation, I suggest you give us a few details about yourselves and size of yacht plus some indication of what you are seeking from a marina.

Cheers

Yes try Aghios Nickolaos marina in CRETE. Good flights to Europe/UK

We are a 10m Catamaran with a beam of 4.2. It would be nice to stay up near Istanbul, in order to explore southwards in 2015. I want to leave the yacht there and return in the spring, not live aboard during the winter.
