Tuns Fishing

I am going to be out in Empuriabrava on the Costa Brava from 9 August til late September to do some fishing. If any of you are passing that way and fancy a day's fishing let me know. I have some spare rods and gear. Dont know if I am allowed to ask for a contribution towards diesel costs or would that be classed as a commercial venture?

Best of luck with it too - we tried 2 years in a row, heading out a few miles first thing with the other boats and trolling around but we never had a take, or saw another fish hooked!

Well this is my first year of being out there for the whole season. Managed to hook up to some reasonable fish in the past. Best was 50lbs

Hi Mike.
I will definatly be up for that. I go about 20 mls out for the bigger stuff & to date have had some decent fish. I will be out for the last 10 days of the month Aug. Sep. & Nov. & if you like you can come down & have a day out with me, just off Cabo de Palos it drops straight off from 200metres to 1000metres great contour line to follow for the Tuna.
By the way Im well pleased with the Cranchi, as you said its a bit twitchy in a following sea but more than makes up for it on the nose.

I can only recipriocate with a spot of bass or tope fishing off Poole - not really the same thing is it!
Couple more years and the boat could well get moved south!

Nothing wrong with Bass or Tope fishing, in fact I've never fished for Tope, but hear its good sport. only differance out there is its hot, so if you dont catch anything its still a cracking day out.........Nat

Will you be their when they have the charity Tuna tournament?
We have not tried this type of fishing yet, and wonder whats involved.
I will be in Emp. some time in Sept. Perhaps a beer in the Kiwi to discuss some tactics?
