It's a long time (27 years) since we were in Tunisia. We hope, hope, hope to be under way again next year.
What is the form there nowadays. ?
I have the idea of going eastwards towards Tobruk, where my father was bombed and sunk.
Anyone know if theis is on or not.
 
Tobruk of course is in Libya, not Tunisia, and a long way into libya, nearer to the egyptian border than the tunisian one.
I have heard that it is easier to get a visa to visit Libya nowadays, but have no experience of it. Was stationed in RAF El Adem, in the late sixties, visited Tobruk many times, I hope they have "repaired" it, was very similar to how it was left after WW2, when I was there!
 
We've been in Yasmine Hammamet marina for two winters. We've found the marina excellent and Tunisia a fascinating place to visit. Diesel is cheap and so is the cost of living (especially marina fees).

We don't live aboard but visit as often as possible. There's a British couple who look after our boat. They have been living aboard in Yasmine for 5 years and have set up a business looking after superyachts.

Is it easy to get flights all year to UK from Tunisia and which airlines fly there? Not having much luck in finding any. We are considering getting a berth somewhere in Tunisia next year.
 
Air France, Lufthansa, Tunis Air among others. I arrived in Tunis today and enjoying a nice evening looking across the Lac du Tunis from my hotel room at the l'hotel Les Berges du Lac, next to the British Embassy. Very nice hotel, but no alcohol unfortunately and I don't feel like hacking my way into town as I have an early flight to Sfax in the morning.
