Does anybody know the location of Tuna Nets on the Algarve this year?

A fish farm off lagos not shown on my "new" imray chart and four special marks in the water off portimao marking an artificial reef not shown either , not seen any tuna nets from cape st vincent onwards as yet.

I think that the 4 marks off Portimao might be the fish farm ?

II don't know if they move them but they are well marked so it doesn't really matter where they are.

They are reasonably well marked if you are looking for them in fair weather but one does read from time to time of boats that have to be rescued from the ones that lie between Culatra and Fuzeta and a local fishing boat disappeared there some weeks ago. There is another set between Praia de Faro and Quarteira.

My new (Portuguese) Algarve charts show the same as last year, the new one to the west of Praia de Faro is still there. Coverage doesn't go east of the Guadiana but a new net appeared in Spanish waters 2 years ago, more or less on line Faro to Mazagon or El Rompido. All are well buoyed.

Plan to head north to the Rias for the summer, anything new along the west coast? I see the new Imray charts are not up to date.

My imray charts are new from uk , doesnt show that fish farm off faro at all , nor the four specials marking the reef near portimao , my spangly new chart plotter didnt either and has a 2013 chip in it

We saw very little on the west coast - excluding the masses of fish trap markers from lisbon to figiera de foz the sea was littered with the things , sailing or motoring at night is a lottery through there , i was 20 miles out at night to avoid them, still saw a few up close.
