Where can I get a large tube spanner for a 54 mm skin fitting back nut or do I have to make my own?

I guess thats the dimension across the flats.

Tommyrot's suggestion refers to the length I think!

Could make yourself a "crows foot" from a bit of steel plate to fit your socket set. Maybe buy one but i have not found one that big.

No I think it is 54mm AF alright, whats put me off them is they are one of the Paypal /worldpay band and I am tired of these middlemen that just fuzz the clear transfer of money. Whats wrong with a credit card? Have decided to make my own either a crowsfoot as you suggest or I have a big tube spanner with a bit of grinding might do the job its 52mm so I only have to open it up a bit (not as if I want to be 200 foot pounds on it anyway!)

I'm a bit baffled as to why you'd think 54mm is the length Vic. Were that the case, it would be an extremely small diameter hub nut!

try a google search i got lucky and got a 65mm open end spanner for £25 and £5postage (for a gland nut)

elora new price was £200-300!
