tsunamis 99

Hi
Does any one know how to show name of port, headlands etc on tsunamis 99. Brill prog except for this annoying detail, sure its in there somewhere.
Also how do you prevent it defaulting to equator on start up, have put in boat pos by hand by cursor and gps but it always defaults to equator which plays havoc with dist run, bearings to, etc getting bored with manually adjusting everything when starting prog.

I think if you connect via a GPS and then start up the GPS before the PC, it should then centre on the GPS position, not the equator.

I'm not sure about place names (I've upgraded to the newer version) but I think you go to the chart tab and click on the boxes giving the details, such as ground type, contour lines, place names etc.

1 - Go to CHART / INFORMATION LAYERS / NAMES ON-OFF to switch names on or off.

2 - If you go to SHIP / CORRECTION / CORRECT BY CURSOR you can determine the start up point.
Draw back is you need to do this every so often as you move to another area.

Still better than the equator everytime /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
