Hi element has gone but don't know the make ,it sits horizontal it is stainless case a round cover about 200 mil with a red light on it when heating up behind the stat is round and covers the head of the element which screws in ,also the temperature adjuster is yellow thanks for replies

Most marine calorifier immersion heaters are 11" long with 2 1/4" BSP thread as domestic size, but rated at either 1 or 1.5 kW, whereas domestic are rated at 3 kW.

Something like this, but I found a similar one for ~ £33 a few months ago on Ebay. Screwfix offer a 3 kW for ~ £15 if your shore power can put up with 12 amps just for the hot water.
