Trying to find a book(s) - anyone identify it ??

Some years ago I read a book, which I remember was followed by 2 others although they were readable separately.
The story of the set was that an english air navigator got involved with a Jewish secret group searching for a WW2 Nazi plague ship that had got trapped in Antarctic Ice during the war. It also had treasure stowed on board which also involved a group of neo-Nazis also searching for it.
In the end the two groups finally came into conflict and the ship was eventually released frokm the ice and sunk.
It was a great read and would love to find it again. Sorry I have no author or title clues.

Rings a bell. I think it might be one of Clive Cussler's "Dirk Pitt" stories. Try a Google.

These are the closest two that I've found. Under most circumstances I loath thillers so I've not read either of them.

William Dietrich, Ice Reich (this sounds very close )

Clive Cussler, Shock Wave (This is probably the Dirk Pitt book that JHR was alluding to.)
