I am refurbishing the stern gland which is a greaseless packed gland, with the follower wound in on two studs. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 nuts are seized solid, even after soaking in PlusGas.

All the studding for sale these days is either metric, or mild steel, or both.

anybody know where I can buy some stainless steel 3/8" UNC?

Even if I could buy fully threaded bolts and cut the heads off it would do - I only need 4 inches!

+1 for anglia stainless they DO have what you require, in bronze, probably do in stainless, but I would go for bronze, then you know it will not seize.
