I know this may not be relevant to many, but I went out with these guys over the weekend (well Steve by himself), and for someone who has to grab every opportunity available to get afloat, they were absolutely fantastic.

If by chance you are a Cardiff local (or visitor), and are currently without a craft, or means of otherwise getting afloat I would thoroughly recommend them. You can find them at mermaid quay, next to the trip and sea safari kiosks.

One satisfied customer who may become steve's new best friend !!

HI

No definately not a motoring trip. We were out for two hours, tacking and gybing. I was out with three other novices (this was the first time they had set foot on a boat), and they all had a go at winching and helming.

Steve was great, very paitient and knowledgable of the area.

Whilst it is a very good tourist "attraction" there is definetly oppurtunities for proper sailing and furthermore trips can be arranged out in the channel.

Well worth a chat if nothing else.

I thought it was just a motoring trip around the bay designed for tourists. Did you put the sails up
I think they do a 15 min motoring trip and only put the sail up for an hours trip. There are a couple of other small motor boats doing trips, we had a trip on the Lady Helen on Friday, great value at only 4 quid for half an hours trip.

Try sail will customise to your needs if you arrange in advance

I have had a few sailing lessons starting off in the bay building up to sailing in the Bristol Chanel in 30kn
Yes they do potter around the bay which is Steves bread and butter, but is up for much more if you ask him.
