Trojan batteries seem to offer an awful lot of power for a very reasonable price but is there a catch?
Trojan SCS200 12 V Deep Cycle Battery times 2 would increase our domestic capacity and fit the battery box.
Over to the panel. Terry.

The SCS200 is 115Ah, about the same as any similar-sized battery. And is it a "very reasonable price"? How much have you seen them for?

Sorry, the SCS200 is rated at 200Ah priced around £180.00 + delivery. A reasonable price for the capacity but more to the point, will fit the battery compartment.

[/ QUOTE ]Trojan, who make it, reckon it's only 115Ah - see specification here.

Ah Ha, the plot thickens. I am pretty poor with anything electrical so took the description "Batteries -> Trojan -> Marine and Deep-Cycle Gel Series -> Trojan Marine Deep Cycle Battery 12V 200Ah SCS200" as being as stated 200Ah. Not the solution I was hoping for then? May have to think again but once again this forum has saved an expensive mistake! Thanks, Terry /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Trojan's are definitely good batteries, I just bought three 115AH's myself. You may have seen my whinging thread about my experience earlier in the week.

Give one of the good suppliers a call and they will advise on what is best for your requirements.
