Thanks David. Nice photos and a nice looking boat.

Is the St. Kat's marina the only one in the city centre?
I remember taking a ferry trip from a wharf opposite the 'Eye" to Greenwich and passing a locked marina on the northern bank amongst multi-story buildings. The tide was low-ish and we appeared to look up at it.
Is it the same one?

Hi AndieMac

There are a few Marinas in London they are:

If you are coming from Greenwich the first Marina would be

Galleons Reach which has a very high lock at low water. stayed before facilities are quite poor.

Next would we South Quay but there is no electricity and facilities that is right in the middle
of Canary Wharf used mainly for show boats.

Next would be Limehouse basin quite a few people stay there.

Next would be St Katherines Dock which is about 100 yards before Tower Bridge which is where we stayed. fantastic. Have to check locking times though, they can be found on there website.

Next would be Chelsea Bridge which is past the Houses of Parliment.

David.

You are forgetting South Dock hard by Greenland Pier. Wide access window and because it is owned by the local council its not that expensive either, certainly compared to St Kats. But, if you want to get into town you need to walk to the Surrey Quays shoplex for Tube/bus or (much more fun) Clipper from Greenland Pier.
