Trip inland, BBQ (pics)

[Sneds]

Decided to go up river yesterday, from Bristol City Docks, up the Avon to Keynsham, trip took about 2 1/2 hours.
Two locks and lots of twisty bits, followed by a BBQ at Port Avon Marina, Keynsham. Organised bt the Port Avon Boat Club. A friendly bunch made up of cruisers and narrowboats.

Was the duck or the dog the BBQ? Either would have been tasty, but wouldnt have fed many! Nice piccies, nice scenery!

Oh the thrill of listening to Radio Luxembourg, in bed at night. The radio was under the pillow and the dormitory heating pipes hid the aerial.

The dog wasn't on the menu, the duck might have been but I couldn't catch it!

The pirate (clown's wife) looked a little menacing branding that sabre, but was quite friendly and danced all night.
The bar was open. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Boat for sale? Had her two years and looking for a bigger one!
The rain held off nearly all weekend, chucked it down Sunday AM but cleared up for the trip back down to Bristol.
Boat being serviced this week, so back out in the Bristol Chanell next weekend, weather permitting of course!
