We launched our first boat, a Freeman 22 that we'd spent a few months restoring, on our first wedding anniversary in May 1989. Later that year, we made our first pilgrimage from Bray up to Letchlade. As we discovered our fabulous river, we played The Proclaimers 1st album on our cassette player.
We'll this evening we have just watched the film Sunshine On Leith that features the music from that group and it brought back so many memories as often music does. The pair of us, now in our fifties, have shed a tear or two tonight as well as reliving our first trip up the Thames.
