trim tabs, display not working

the other instruments work, trim tabs moving using the switches on the dash

the round ? Volvo display is dead

should i persue a repair, or can i retrofit a new sensor / display ?

ok, what do others have, just move them according to the trim of the boat ?

Surveyor should know that surely,
some have lights on the switches but on the boats ive had you have to guess, i normally count.till somebody talks to me then i forget

depending on the age of the tabs all those that I have seen either have a series of lights or are mechanical dials driven by morse cable.

Yeh the counting sounds good, same with the windlass.

If they are Bennett trim tabs, an indicator kit is a relatively easy retrofit ( depending on access)

I think you need to clarify what end unit..leg,tab etc..is actually working and what display is not properly monitoring that movement..or what end unit is not actually moving at all...
