Trim tab Rams - Maker ?

Does anyone know who made these Trim Tab Rams from ~ 1990.

I need to source at least 2 of the internal stainless steel springs, plus various O rings, which should be straightforward. The springs are permanently immersed in seawater so the material needs to be pretty resistant.

Only guessing but I'd say they look like something from the early seventies, perhaps home made one-offs.

It's possible that the original parts won't be available any more. But you can buy stainless springs easily, try someone like Lee Spring who make springs in 316 stainless, either standard sizes or custom to match yours.

An option would be to fit Bennett rams. These original rams spring return, so in operation the pump pushes the Tab down with the appropriate solenoid open. To raise the solenoid opens, but the pump doesn't operate, so the Tab raises.

Do Bennett rams operate in the same way ?

I believe the Bennett rams operate in a similar way, with a spring. This O-ring replacement leaflet might help.
