trim tab oil

Ok, there gonna come thick and fast now as I start prepping boat for the season.

Trim Tabs: My t-tab oil needs topping up due to a small hose leak (soon to be sorted). They are a set of american Insta trim's.

Can I just topp up with some standard trim tab oil which i suspect is a low grade hydro fluid?? albeit reportedly biodegradeable....and secondly where can I get trim tab oil, what does everyone else use? as a search on the www has not been very productive.

Thoughts & feedback appreciated.

I use fluid that is sold for use in car automatic gearboxes - seems to work fine.

Car fluid was also used on my Bennet Sport Tabs - only fitted last week by my local Yamaha Dealer.
