Just removed the trim tab anodes and theres a rubber back on them. Whats that about thought they had to be in contact with the bit they are protecting /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
So did I.
What are the tabs made of?
Bennet type?
The popular ones.
Presume You are in salt water cos if You were in a River/ Lake pootling would be the order of the Day and the tabs would be redundent anyway!
Anyway! I suppose i,ve answered My own daft question.
Not an Expert on elecrolysis and all that but it would appear strange to have a pad.
Can't see a reason for a pad.
Someone will tell us if we need to.
Just replacing mine. No pad previously!
I presume if you're replacing them they're worn out?
If they are, they must be working.
So I think they must be in electrical contact with the tabs.
Pads seem daft though.....
You should get electrical continuity through the bolt and lock washer.
I think the pad maybe because the anodes are not 100% flat and therefore could work loose. ( at a guess )
