Do I need to prime a brass prop if I am using the trilux aerosol antifouling. I know the aluminium sail drive needs it.

not if it's brass, ally prop will need etching. I just clean our brass prop up with a wire brush give it a quick rub over with wet n dry paper clean with thinners then slap a few coats of trilux on.

yes... but the only reason i paint is to slow down the wear on the anodes. one year i left it bare and lost part of my saildrive /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif just caught it in time

I find it excellent stuff. the only problem i find is on the tips of the blades where they wizz round and cut through the water after a season they start to pit and are back to bare metal.

I came across a clear lacquer type aerosol prop antifoul once. Cannot remember the brand/product name. Anybody know it?
