Yes.

It came with special new holder that enabled it to be correctly aligned. Otherwise a 120° out

they are not marked so you have to power them up and mark the front.

As far as I know it works OK

I have not used it in anger yet and have not thought to try it with the VHF.

(If Id known what i know now i might have opted for just a warm white. Said to be satisfactory with the red and green although cool white is better for the white sector.)

Bulb and new holder.

New and old holders compared

BTW as supplied the red and green sectors are the right way round... not like the picture on Force4 website

I got the same ones, I think. Though the Force4 website seems to have severely hiked up the price. I paid around £35 for them.

I walked around the boat today to see how they looked and they seemed to be doing the trick.

I fitted one last year in a Force 4 tricolour/anchor light and it worked although I didn't sail at night. Now it's not working. I've just been up the mast and swapped it with my LED anchor light which lit up so it is the bulb that's faulty. I'll have to see if I can get a replacement but I doubt it as I bought it over a year ago.

To make matters worse, I accidentally fitted the lens back the wrong way round and now I can't get it off again. Poo!

Aten Lighting (01664 569457) do a 15 LED Tower replacement white for the incandescent bulb in the trilight. Obviously you are using the same sector lens at the masthead, but the power drain when sailing should be pretty low. No info on longevity, but I plan to give it a try this season. The guy at Aten is very helpful and they do have a website.

The 15 LED unit is not intended for the tricolour or any other nav light

However they offer 60 LED and 30 LED units which are suiatble although they dont seem to specify the visible ranges that would be obtained.

A warm white one would be required for a tricolour in order to match the red and green filters, although cool white is better for white lights
