Bluidy Yanmar has started leaking oil .. tightened up a few bolts is it possible that they would have loosened over the last couple of years?

But

What genoa should I use?
Should I keep the new triradial on or bung on the old genoa for the winter?

Decisions, decisions ..

put the old yanmar on for the winter, stow the tri-radial, tighten the genoa and over wangle the under-triple-helix-badger.

jimi, keep all yer nuts tight, they do tend to dangle and loosen with use. As far as the genoa goes, use the white one.

Well the genoa one is a straightforward double bind ( or catch 22 if you prefer).

You dont mind if the old genny takes a pasting over the winter cos it's old, but the draft will have moved aft, and the leech may be shot, so you'll get more heeling, more weather helm. The new genny will be a better shape - but you dont want to inflict the wear and tear so that it becomes blown out for next summer.
