Treadmaster Alternatives

I've got something approximating to treadmaster on my topsides, except instead of chunky diamonds it has smaller, shallower hexagons (or some other 'agon type shape).
But it's looking, in patches, very worse for wear.
Anybody know what it may be and also if it can be scrubbed and painted or is it best to remove it totally and start again?

Looks like painting for me then - ancient mariner in the yard is using B&Q special offer as deck paint on his old wooden motor cruiser. Says he never buys "proper" yacht stuff as its all a rip off, never 'as, never will!
That ties in with what a friend says about anti-foul. When he was a manager for Berger paints, they used to get all the "junk" paint, collected into a big tank, whack in some chemicals, bit of colour - flog it off as anti-foul or to farmers "up north".

If its Decktread you are refering to there is another alternative called Deckotread avilable fron a company at Botley called TECNIX Rubber and Plastics tel 0800 216633
Half the cost of Dectread also do hex pattern as well as diamond they do have a website.
