We've yet to book our summer holiday. I quite fancy a couple of days in Menorca, a further few days in Mallorca (Cala'D'or and Palma) and finish off in Ibiza. Will be a combination of relaxing and perhaps some fender kicking. Has anyone travelled between the islands by ferry? Is it OK or unpleasant (I can't be arsed spending hours hanging around in airports just for a short hop)?

Not sure what the ferry prices are like if you book ahead but my son joined us in Mallorca last year after a week with his mates in Ibiza, it was as cheap to fly with Air Berlin as take the ferry for that trip. Having said that, with all the faffing involved with flying, a ferry trip would probably be more enjoyable and probably less for taxis at both ends.

Exactly would prefer to be sitting on deck with a book than waiting around or walking miles in Palma airport.
