It seems a group of travellers in 5 caravans turned up on a regular caravan holiday site & just squatted. They plugged in to electric & have not paid
When asked to leave they refused.
Police were called but took no action and apparently asked the owners to let them stay until Monday to give them a chance to find somewhere to go

Does this now give us legal precidence to do the same with marinas ??
I am sure someone could lob a few fridges, old beds & general rubbish everywhere first to prove we were proper "pykies" & not real "travellers"!!

We need a Traveller SWAT team. Some mercenarys who swoop and remove the offending articles. Don't involve the Police.
Following on from the mooring thread on Suttlebutt it seems that having your own facilities is now a rubbish concept.

Just use someone else's. The Police, it seems, have no powers to throw you out.

I blame that Chakrabarti woman.

Yeah, let's import a Boston team, heavily armed & apparently untrained. They could run down the pontoons firing off automatic weapons at all & sundry.

We could lock-down the mairina & stop anyone leaving - oh, but they don't anyway do they? ;)

They already exist. Just need to know who to call.
