Travel to/From Messolonghi in Greece

Sorry I know this has been covered to some extent recently but ... I cant get the search to work too well.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to organise my flights to Greece this year.
First, Olympic cancelled my Easter flights to Preveza and now BA are about to shoot themselves in the foot and make me change my mind about flying BA to Athens in June.

Bottom line is I need to get two us to Messolongi for a 10 day break starting May 28th ish
I had planned to fly BA to Athens and rent a car but Im reluctant to do that now.
Im also reluctant to book with Olympic as they dropped me in the **it re my Easter flights.
That leaves EasyJet - so maybe I wont bother.

I've tried looking at flights to Brindisi and ferry to Patras etc etc.

Help ! - Anyone been through this and come out the other side with a diamond crusted travel itinerary ? If so - please share it.

We have booked to go by Athens by Easy Jet - we will then either get a bus to Messolonghi or a taxi depending on how rich we feel.

I got the time table from Joe at the marina - email him - he responds quite quickly.

I will be avoiding BA for the time being!

Nothing wrong with Easy Jet, used them loads of times from Gatwick /Athens - Gatwick/Corfu - Bristol/Corfu - Manchester Athens - Manchester/Corfu. Good fares very reliable ( rarely late).
Messolonghi is a bit awkward from Corfu , so flying to Athens with a car hire and easy drive to Messo is my preferred route.
 
Athens Mes.

I will be flying to Athens on 21st March and then bus down to Mes. My brother will fly Ejet on 1 April and do the same bus from the airport to central bus station then on to Mes. Its simple and convenient and the busses are reasonably provided there will be no strikes.

I haven't managed to find a guide to the bus routes, so this is all from observation. The Corinth bus station seems to be a hub of some sort. Buses from there head out in all directions, including direct to Messalongi. There may well be a direct bus Athens - Messalongi. Some other buses go via Messalongi and onwards to Aktio and Preveza. The rail link (Metro) apparently goes from the airport right through to Patras.

There was a thread on this early in the winter, with more info.
 
Monark fly into Preveza (Sailing Holidays also charter Monark)you may get a seat through contact with them. Bus's from Athens pass very close to Airport.Check bus time -tables via internet.
