i am chartering my first ever yacht out of Corfu in a few weeks, I thought i would check out my existing travel insurance, which covers me for yachting (yay) but not for rescue. So in the event that I need rescuing I would be liable for a hefty bill.
So I got a quote from Sports Cover Direct, which do a sailing cover, but it excludes when under power, which in my opinion leaves a very vulnerable hole in the cover.
May I ask what others chartering yachts do regarding Insurance?

Thanks in advance

The risk is extremely low, almost zero. The Greek coastguard will rescue you if necessary and medical treatment is free with your EHIC card. In practice however you will be advised to avoid calling the coastguard and instead call the charter operator. The area is small, weather benign and plenty of other boats around.
