Have just spoken to NatWest with whom we have an annual travel policy, regarding our summer sailing trip to France.
Apparantly if we caught a ferry to France then sailed off the French Coast, we would be covered, but because we are taking our own boat across the channel, and therefore out of the 12 mile zone (albeit only for a few hours) we are not covered - for the whole trip.
Anyone know if this is correct?
Can anyone recommed another travel insurance policy that does cover sailing holidays. Have looked at Bishops Skinner - would cost £198 for both of us. Seems alot, but have nothing else to compare it to.
Also, if there are any 'insurance experts' out there - do you know how to get pre-existing conditions covered? It seems pointless to have insurance that doesn't cover these things, as surely these are the conditions most likely to make a claim necessary??
