Heres a strange one for you to contemplate and advise on.

I am going to Turkey for a weeks holiday at the end of May. (Its a wedding, and I cant get out of it...and no..its not mine!), we are staying in Dalyan, flying into Dalaman.

I was hoping, at the end of the week to go to Corfu to check on the boat. However, it seems impossible to get from one to the other without employing every means of transport known to man, and taking 2 days to do it. I only have a long weekend to play with.

Is there an easy (and relatively cheap) way to travel from Dalyan to Corfu? If there is, I cant find it.

any help or advice please?

What about boat to Rhodes and then fly to Corfu via Athens?

Edit: Having said this, I have never been to Turkey but Dalyan (or Marmaris) looks so close to Rhodes....

The OP has stumbled on a major pain in this part of the world: there are almost no flights between western Turkey and Greece that don't fly between Istanbul and Athens.

The choice is generally between flying: Dalaman-Istanbul-Athens-Corfu; or, as suggested, a ferry from Marmaris or Fethiye to Rhodes, then onward flights on Greek internal carriers. Rhodes airport is a shortish (€10?) taxi ride from the ferry terminal.

Don't get your hopes up, Magaz: SWMBO had to visit Kalkan from Crete a couple of months ago. After investigating flights and ferries, she travelled via the UK to go and see her mum. It was cheaper than all the alternatives. Crete to Kalkan is about 190 miles; Crete to London, about 1500. Go figure.

(Dalyan to Dalaman is a 30 min drive) Try Pegasus airlines from Dalaman to Istanbul (Sabiha Gokcen), one hour flight time you may get a connection to Corfu. Pegasus internal flights can be found for under £20!

Thanks for the info.... As I suspected, it would appear to be easier and cheaper to return to the UK and start all over!....Weird.

Don't forget your Turkish Visa which is available on line otherwise you will have a problem at the airport as they will not let you in without one!
