trapper 500 drying out

Hey alahol2 I had a quick squizz at your website.. nice site.
I see you had an Iroquois at one stage... always like the look of them, any major reasons for going to a monohull?

Well, the kids grew up and disappeared so I looked for something a bit more 'snug' for me and the missus. My club didn't allow cats in for winter storage so I wanted a mono to cut costs, plus cleaning/antifouling two hulls always did me in. I miss the speed, level sailing and ability to dry out but I enjoy the 'feel' of sailing the Stag and it's much more homely on a chilly evening at anchor.
Horses for courses.

Thanks for that.
Very interesting. I had been looking at a hirondelle locally and was interested in the cat idea for a while.
The boat, as usual was in a lot worse condition than advertised so I walked.
And really the hirondelle is small inside. Even for a 5ft3in guy I would have gotten well tired of banging my head.. heh.
Have a good weekend.
Vida
