I’ve got a Simpson Lawrence Sprint 1000 windlass that needs to stripped down and serviced. The roller bearings need to be pressed out and replaced, lip seal replaced etc.
As I’m in Portugal and returning to the UK in a couple of days (on EasyJet) I’m wondering if it’s feasible to bring it with me ?. I assume it would need to be hold luggage ?
Anyone tried anything similar ?

I can't see it being a problem it's just a motor and some cogs and not heavy by airport standards. You might have some customs conversations but assuming it looks sufficiently old they should be easy to handle.
