Transport from the med to Northern Europe

I am very interested in finding out if anyone here have had any experience in using a yacht transport for moving a 40-50 ft boat from the med to Northern Europe. I understand that there are many different transport providers, and I could of course just ask for a quote. However, I thought it would be interesting to ask if anyone knows of any particular pitfalls (insurance, timing etc.) or if there are big differences in pricing between the various transporters.

I am located in Denmark but I imagine the major hubs in Northern Europe are either in the UK or Netherlands. If you are aware of price differences between various hubs I would be very interested in learning about this as well!
