I was quoted £1800 from holland to Uk for the transport and this did not include preparing the boat or relaunching. My advice would be to sail as you can get a mooring in the Uk very reasonably for the winter.
Apparently the beam measurement at this sort of length becomes critical. If it goes beyond a certain width the haulier/transporter has to make arrangements with various police authorities.
I would have thought that you would be looking at £3k-£3.5k upwards with your lift in and out charges, insurance etc. There is a ship that travels from the med to the UK that literally lifts boats up complete and carries them to S/hampton. Think the company is Peters & May, although not sure.
Thanks to everyone for the replies. The Ship transport sounds interesting as the boat is currently in the water with mast etc. I'll give them a call and see what the deal is.
