transom height

Good day

I am going to be mounting my outboard,its a long shaft (suzuki dt50 hp) I have measured my transom and it measures at 515 cm top of transom to bottom of hull
Its 5 mm more than it should be will this effect the motor ?

Shaft lengths are 15", 20" or 25"

Long is 20" which is 50,8 cm and so close to your 51,5 that it definitely will not have any effect.

Note that fitting height is a recommendation, commonly changed to accommodate special needs (eg. by fitting the engine higher - the shaft lenght is not changed - to lift the motor hence reduce drag for speed optimization).
