Just bumping this thread in the hope of hearing from some Raymarine experts, since I know that there are some around here.keeping both connected and somehow "hot-swappable" would obviously be much better, if feasible...
I did spend some time on the manuals in the meantime, hoping to either find a confirmation that it can be done (and how), or rule out the idea.
But I'm still stuck at the stage of being unsure about that, so thanks in advance to anyone who might be able at least to throw some light on that basic doubt - even if it should be for the worst case!
