So instead of marinas, these are some of the places I prefer to go...

Lundy, Landing Bay

Lundy, Jenny's Cove

Old Castle Head, Lydstep

River Suir, Waterford

Hope's Cove, Med...err Torbay

Cawsands, Plymouth Sound

Barn Pool, Plymouth Sound

etc etc

But carry on using marinas by all means - it gives me employment and keeps these anchorages clear for the rest of us /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

More power to your elbow Damo, Hoping to get to Padstow this summer, would love to go aroung the "corner" and head east up the south coast.
Went to Salcombe (by car) over Easter and reckon my boat would love it there.

Got to do Lundy this year whatever else happens!

No, no, no, it would hate it in the Summer.
Full of "Henries" with more money than sense.
Expensive.
Poor facilities.
Overcrowded.
Odd locals - bad as the Welsh!!
