Trailer for lift keel yacht.

I had a new trailer from RM Trailers Ltd for my Parker 21 a couple of years ago after the original rusted away. I specified a "split axle" to enable the keel to be dropped through and a "break-back" arrangement so I can launch without getting the wheels wet. I haven't yet used it for recovery because the boat lives on a mooring all season and I have her craned out and cleaned off by a yard with a serious high pressure thing that gets the barnacles off. I keep it in my front garden for the winter and an additional advantage of the break-back is that the front part can be taken off making the whole rig about 6' shorter and much less in the way.

I don't think RM are the cheapest but I was impressed with the flexibility of the design process and the quality of the manufacture.

Ditto. RM made the trailer that came with my boat. It is 20 years old and it is excellent condition. They made it as a piggy back arrangement so the trailer never gets wet and the boat can be retrieved singlehanded because the launching trolley part has positive bouyancy so it can be floated under the boat clear of the slipway.

If you are going to seriously trail and sail I think it is worth the extra £££.
