Traffic

Is it just my perception or is the traffic on the forum no where near the pre suspension levels? I seem to remember a higher volume of postings but at the moment there only appear to be relatively few per day, probably less than twenty spread across a small number of people.

Maybe its the boating time of year and everyone is out on water instead of slaving over a hot keyboard!

I understand that the forum wasn't suspended but in fact laid up for a few weeks pre-season! Last week H and I scraped off the antifoul (language) and now it's getting new faster engines, but as before there's no radar or steering (or toilet) so anything might happen.

You're right, Nick. I, for one, would rather go boating than chat about it but I am also put off by the lack of functionality of the new forum, the failings of which have been well aired

I thought the same Nick, thats why I posted the last thread. Just dreamed some thing up to make the place more interesting.

Now then the Fishing trip Tomorrow.

I'm taking the digi box so we can make a film.

With sound and music. Pop groups taking fishing rods though and no guitars.

Can you give us a name for it and a suggested format.
Pop group Leader is called Winker then theres Tony and
Dave. Course theres me as also well. But I'm not so good in the Pop group neither fishing but with boat ok.
Apart from breakages!!

Could it be the password and user name thing? I suspect that this puts off the would be casual poster. Also, hands up those who can remember their password easily. Maybe there should be a facility to set your own password.

I know it was intended to deal with the worm and generally increase security but is the cure killing the patient?

I set my own password. I think an earlier version aut0-generated one? Perhaps some extra-friendly chat at registering so they're put off less - some sites ask inside leg measurements and phone numbers.
