Currently on holiday in Indonesia, where my daughter’s boyfriend has a dive centre. For those of you with instagram, here’s a link to a reel I made of traditional boat building here.

The boat in question is being built by an interesting Italian chap called Robert. It is 6 months into the build, should be completed in another 6. He is building it for charter, with a capacity for 8 guests. It will be fitted with a 450hp Yanmar, but Robert envisages a decent size rig that should provide decent sailing performance off the wind.

His budget for the build is on the region of €450k
