you can do a whois lookup (google whois to find a page for this). Sometimes that has a contact email or even telephone number.
Cheers

If you look at the Membership page, you'll see that you can contact Flt Lt Michelle Overington, the Membership Secretary, at membership@rafsa.org.uk

Thanks very much for that that is spot on.If I may say pvb you have been very helpful to me in the past & I am very grateful.
To the rest of you thankyou very much also for trying to help.I must say the help & advice people give freely in these forums is very gratifying & quite moving.

Regards Nicholas.

You can also look up the MARS-ITU database, most yachts will have a ship station licence and the owner's name is also shown (but not where to contact them). Of course if it's a popular name ('Aphrodite' generates 120 hits) you may be no further forward....

If I had employed a broker to look after selling my boat I wouldn't be impressed if folks came to me bypassing the broker.

This may be something to do with the broker who refused to pass an offer on to the vendor (the OP has posted about it elsewhere).
If that is the case then he is doing the right thing and, if I were the vendor, I would be bloody furious with the broker.
